Study Smarter, Not Harder!
UCL Steps With Chokolaate Magazine
Time is the indefinite continued progress of existence and events that occur in apparently irreversible succession from the past through the present to the future. Time is something everyone chases after but no one seems to have enough of it. But in the present world time is something that everyone wants more of. And the individuals who really yearn for more time are the students that sit for their Advanced Level Examinations.
This is why Chokolaate Magazine with Universal College Lanka (UCL) decided it's time to help the AL students with ‘Time Management’.
(L-R Mrs Michelle Gunesekera Editor in Chief Chokolaate Magazine, Mr Gihan De Silva CEO UCL Sri Lanka, Miss Anushly Sithamparam)
STEPS is an initiative that is conducted to enhance the preparation and well-being of the students while they study for their exams. STEPS is an abbreviation for;
S - Stress Management
T - Time Management
E - Exam Preparation
P – Planning
S - Success
It'll help students to prepare for their final exam without having to go through a lot of stress. This will ensure that most students will get better results which will mean that the school will be known for producing exceptional results. Overall it's a good opportunity for the school and students to know how to manage their stress during examination periods. It will be conducted by a qualified and experienced resource person who is an expert in these areas.
The inaugural session was conducted at Musaeus College on the 22nd of March. It was a huge success as we addressed over 150 AL students on STEPS. The guest speaker Anushly Sithamparam spoke to the girls on how to prepare for the exams using the STEPS approach.
Good time management allows you to accomplish more in a shorter period of time, which leads to more free time, which lets you take advantage of learning opportunities, lowers your stress, and helps you focus, which leads to more exam success. The STEPS process can lead to improving all other aspect of your life.
