Who are we? 

Sevenations is a youth organization which targets the development of youth community, Sustainable development, Media literacy and develop understanding and peace in the world. Sevenations organization was commenced on January 7th 2020 with the collaboration of Graphics squad . Now we have above 50 members from around the country. Currently we are also collaborating with countries like Nigeria, India, Indonesia, USA and Philippines and hope to increase our international community in the future as well.

What do we do? 

Our main intentions are to establish a sustainable development scheme in Sri Lanka and to develop the SriLankan community with the collaboration of youth power. We are mainly focusing on the current matters in the society and conduct various projects to eliminate or to provide solutions for them. Also, we conduct awareness projects in order to wake up the Sri Lankan society and to motivate them to stand against these problems. We also provide people the cyber space to raise their voice against unfairness of the society. 

#Let’s Spread love 

Sevenations is currently working on the new project #spreadlove where the targeted topics would be cyber bullying, mental health and mental illnesses. 

The main reason why we chose this topic was, cyber bullying rates are highly increasing here in Sri Lanka. Many people are depressed due to these cruel cyber bullying and some innocents even pay the price by taking their lives off. Also something we have noticed in the modern context is that, though how many projects are done against cyber bullying, though how many petitions are signed, there’s no any significant change in our society.

Our main objective is to create a society free of all types of bullying. We are doing social media campaigns in order to enhance the awareness of people on what is cyberbullying and how to eliminate cyber bullies. Also in the mid way of our campaign we will be providing cyber space for the victims to share their true stories and experiences on being bullied. Here our plan is to make our people strong and confident in sharing their true stories, to open up, to reach out and to raise voice against cyber bullying.
