Sri Lanka’s first hypoallergenic beauty care salon launches in Colombo

Sri Lanka’s first hypoallergenic beauty care lounge ‘Quintessential’, founded by Nikki Udawatte, opened its doors to customers on 17th July 2019, located at Pelawatte, Battaramulla.

Quintessential’, which is open throughout the week from 9.30am to 6.30pm, is Sri Lanka’s first and only salon that practices zero double dipping for waxing, as well as has introduced in-chair facials and massages, whilst receiving manicures & pedicures.

The international standard beauty care service provider stands out for its strict adherence to international hygiene standards and use of hospital grade autoclave sterilizers and disinfectants. The beauty care lounge offers the popular range of beauty care services, including manicures & pedicures, featuring therapeutic add-on services for hands/ feet, acrylic/ gel nails, in-chair facials, in- chair massages, nail art and grooming services (waxing, threading).

Nikki started her professional career with NIVEA, departing as the Head of Sales & Operations for NIVEA Haus - an international Spa concept at Dubai Mall and the beauty and wellness brand, in 2012. Shortly thereafter Nikki joined a luxurious local Spa networks in UAE (The Nail Spa), becoming an integral component in elevating the brand to become one of the best spas in Dubai, gaining recognition via awards from Vogue, Timeout and WhatsOn. Appointed as the Director of Operations for The Nail Spa’s new brand ‘Marquee’, she went on to receive awards such as GRAZIA (2017), VIVA (2016) and WhatsOn (2015), relocating to Sri Lanka in 2017.
