CS EMINENCE

AIESEC is the world largest youth leadership movement that is present in more than 120 countries. Mainly it is a platform for young people to develop their leadership potential through international internships, volunteer opportunities and member opportunities. Founded in 1948, AIESEC is a non-governmental, and not-for-profit organisation entirely run by youth for youth.

AIESEC in University of Moratuwa is one of the leading and oldest entities of AIESEC Sri Lanka. The entity focuses on creating a positive impact on society and creating young leaders who would take the lead in changing the world for the better, gaining recognition both locally and globally. The most recent recognitions were Limitless Entity Award, Demonstrating Integrity Finance Award, Striving for Excellence Marketing Award, Acting Sustainably Incoming Global Talent (Internship Opportunities) Award and Acting Sustainably Outgoing Global Teacher (Teaching Opportunities) Award, received at the AIESEC Asia Pacific Regional Awards Night in 2020.

Diving deep into the success story of AIESEC in University of Moratuwa, its very own members and partners stand as the key pillars behind the flying colours of the entity. Thus there are no second thoughts on recognising the members’ engagement to make a positive impact on the community. That is why AIESEC in University of Moratuwa brought CS Eminence into life and appreciates the commitments towards making the entity always better than what it was.

To acknowledge the distinguished people of AIESEC in University of Moratuwa, CS Eminence was put up for the first time back in 2019. Nirmani Dasanayake the current Local Committee Vice President Business Development and Sajana Withanawasam the current Local Committee Vice President Income Global Talent AIESEC in University of Moratuwa were awarded the best young leader and emerging young leader awards respectively during the event. That’s only a glimpse, CS Eminence gives recognition under many titles like the best-performing team member, best team leader, most sustainable project, best organising committee  etc. Yes, the time has dawned for another glamorous evening, and the entity has found a keen set of fresh and aspiring young leaders to be appreciated, for their hard work as AIESECers.

Driven by the ultimate dream of delivering another elegant CS Eminence to appreciate these individuals and encourage the members to perform more in a much better way, AIESEC in University of Moratuwa is keeping the steps to put up CS Eminence 2020 by this 6th of February. Aforementioned will be a novel experience for the members, as this is the first-ever virtual Awards Night happening in the history of AIESEC in University of Moratuwa.

Especially in a time where going digital is the new normal, the journey of  CS Eminence 2020 will never cross a smooth edge like this if not for the partners. So AIESEC in University of Moratuwa is indebted to the partners of CS Eminence; Ceylex Engineering, Bank of Ceylon, Black and Decker, LTL Holdings, Suntech Information Technologies and Chokolaate Magazine for joining hands to be a constant source of support throughout the journey.

All to be reflected at the moment  is, “Await the classic evening; where aspiring individuals are crowned not to brandish, but to inspire the youth leaders of the motherland, and recognise the partners solely driven by the idea of corporate social responsibility in context.”
