Child Sexual Abuse is one of the serious topics of the table at the present times. It has a great impact on both the physical and the psychological health of a child. Zero_Abuse is a Joint Project initiated by The Leo Club of Colombo (Host) along with the Leo Club of Moratuwa, Leo Club of Colombo Millennium, Leo Club of Unawatuna Diamond Stars and The Leo Club of University of Colombo Faculty of Arts with the intention of Saving the Innocence through Awareness. The 2nd Phase of this Project, A Panel Discussion on “Shatter the Shame & Silence”, took place on 6th of February at the Leo Youth Center, Colombo -07.

Tony Senewiratne, Hazel Rajiah, Mihiri Perera, Piumi Jayawardane and Kumudini David were invited as panelists.  All the 5 panelists pinpointed every corner of this issue and better solutions to minimize this crisis.The Panel discussion was appreciably moderated by Sheshan Dias. Following the Panel Discussion The Guest of Honor of the event Lion Deshan Hewavithana, The Chairman for Leos, Leo District 306 A1 & The Chief Guest Leo Gayanga Uththarvi, District President, Leo District 306 A1 added their thoughts and insights which made the discussion more enlightening. Due to the health crisis prevailing in the country the event was successfully conducted with 35 members gathering physically and more than 40 members joining virtually. At this moment the Leo Club of Colombo (Host ) would like to thank the partners ; LEADS, Child Action Lanka, Emerge Lanka Foundation and Chokolaate for supporting the event. Also we would like to call up the community to be a part of this project and step up for Zero Abuse !
