After the one-of-a-kind trilingual sports music video ‘Living on the edge’ released by Mario Ananda in April, he has collaborated in a national level sports production.
Further to the invitation extended to Mario Ananda, by the National Olympic House and committee members namely Mr. Maxwell de Silva the secretary and the media head Mr. Ram Pathiravithana, the National Olympic theme song was produced and released, to encourage the sportsman and women representing Sri Lanka at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
The concept of the video production, the script and direction are by Mario Ananda himself. There are over 15 sports featured in the production with athletes who hold prominent records in their respective age groups.

The production has been done in three separate locations namely the Sugathadasa outdoor stadium, the BMICH and Lilan Sports academy. The main challenge Mario and his team had to overcome was the prevailing pandemic situation. They had to take extra precautions and abide by the health guidelines. Unavailability of a sports complex with the required facilities other than the Sugathadasa stadium has also been a challenge, which was clearly evident and in turn reflects on the dire need of more well-equipped sports facilities for the Sri Lankan athletes in locations outside Colombo.

The genuine wish of the talented children who participated in this production has been the ultimate motivation for Mario & his team to go ahead with this production amidst the many challenges faced. The song has an energetic and motivating vibe to it. It is also an inspiration for the next generation to follow the dream to the Olympics. The message Mario wishes to convey through the song is collaborated with the concept of Olympism as required by the National Olympic committee of SL. The true sportsmanship, complete with Mind, body & spirit.

This song is also a trilingual music video. The sinhala lyrics titled ‘’Jawayen didulana mawathe” are by Irusha Shamintha, Tamil ‘Idayathin Abhimanimai’ by Bhagawathsing Nithyananthan and English lyrics, titled ’Running in a new formation- Get up!” by Mario Ananda.
The Music Direction & Melody, vocals, concept, visual direction, creative editing and post production is also by Mario Ananda and his team, Mario Ananda Productions. The director of Photography is Nalin Sanjaya Suraweera and the makeup artist is Sandun Athukorala.
